"A great episode"

date: July 17, 2006

I absolutly loved this one. You had some awesome scripting which finally after all these years gave Germaine a little charecter development. Could have been bigger and more climatic, but was approached in an appropiate way.

FOAMY: Tech-Support III :

"The problem.."

date: March 9, 2006

Personally, I thought this episode was fairly ok. You had a teeny bit of improved animation on Foamy, facial expressions and brief uses of squash and stretch. Although the jokes were fairly cliche, it made me chuckle a little. Its not a classic, its not one I'll remember, but I enjoyed it.

I feel that this recent 'problem' though is that since the seires has been established on Newgrounds as a weekly/monthly seires, people kinda know what to expect (complaining squirell with a stereotypical dig), and its very likely that they get that. Because of this, the movies getting a much more realistic score when compared to some of the more epic movies on Newgrounds such as littlefoot and Riding hood.

Although you're not pleasing as many fans with these recent movies, you're still pleasing fans and you still have a fan-base, but if you're going to once again perform as well as you used to, I believe you have to shock us, like you did with 'Nuts to you' and that toaster one. Its utterly funny, plus it does'nt insult anyone all the way through it. That cant be bad.

Personally, I dont think improved animation, or sound or anything like that will do much, possibly not even your humor. Your work is now being analyzed for your plot. My advice is to just lay off the stereotypes for an episode or two, and I mean major ones like sex, age, race and religion. Occupational stereotypes, as well druggies, dont seem to be as bad somehow. Reintroduce some of the other squirells (dear god not hatta), get back into exterior enviroments. I have faith that you can improve your work so much, however you're going to have to listen to this helpful critism from others and myself if you're going to try.

Ball OF Madness

"Should be the best flash game ever but falls short"

submission: Ball OF Madness
date: March 4, 2006

This immediatly caught my attention. Its technically impressive, and pushes the online "get the ball from this place to the other" genre in a new direction.

I feel the major weakness to this though is its far too slow. My advice, remove the "YES" button from the 'ready?' screen, and replace it with a "3, 2, 1, GO!" animation. Increase the frame rate a little also.

Xmas Inspiration

"A groudbreaking personal effort"

submission: Xmas Inspiration
date: December 26, 2005

This flash is quite definatly the best thing Wonchop has ever produced, with some highly original quotes, low amount of spoofing and relying on 'something random time's. But best of all, anything cliche is delivered in a professional and totally fresh way.

I think I now quite possibly respect you as much as any other popular artist. Congratulations and merry christmas!!!

By the way before you consider accusing me of being big-headed, yes, I do assume that my gratitude is the best thing you will recieve this xmas. =D

Another truly great clock movie, with real faithfulness towards the original clock movies and goals.

Author's Response:

Oh yeah, that's partly what I aim for in my animations.

A Clockmas Party

"Jolly xmas short"

submission: A Clockmas Party
date: December 24, 2005

Overall the movie sets out what it aims to do, and that is deliver a splendid xmas message to all its viewers. This movie has some great one-liners, however it wont have you rolling on the floor with laughter. Although the visual style is fresh and smooth, it could be considered n00bish in a few months/years due to its overuse of the bevel and blur effect in Flash 8 which many artists will have access to.

Author's Response:

Yeah, I do tend to go a bit over the top with filters. People will have forgotten about this in a few years, though. :P

Thanks for the review, Simon.

CC - Operation STAR

"A clock xmas movie that regular viewers can enjoy"

date: December 24, 2005

This short movie has a lot of soul and net humor to it. Although the ending was predictable (Certainly for clock crew members), the flash was really enjoyable. Nice job.

Roger Barr meets Tom Fulp

"A cult classic for the new NG era"

date: October 26, 2005

This flash has the humour, style, pacing and feel of many of the typical movies from 2001, whilst giving Tom Fulp a new charecteristic feel, plus introducing Roger as a kind of Josh Bedn like charecter.

Dispite its low score, this movie is going to be talked about every once in a while for years to come.
